Trade fair brings fire protection, rescue services, disaster control and civil protection together again
The date for 2027 has been set: The trade fair for fire protection, rescue services, disasters and civil protection will take place again at Messe Dortmund from June 10 to 12, 2027. It is the central meeting place for the rescue industry in the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia, the federal state with the highest density of professional and plant fire departments.
Dortmund, January 27, 2026 – 112RESCUE will once again bring together civil emergency response stakeholders at Messe Dortmund in 2027. Trade visitors can look forward to three trade fair days with innovations, practical solutions and exchanges on all aspects of fire protection, rescue services, disaster control and civil protection.
With the fourth edition in 2027, 112RESCUE is continuing its successful course. Last year, more than 90 percent of those surveyed stated that they wanted to return to the next event. The high level of satisfaction reflects the importance of the trade fair as a platform for the entire industry. “Current disasters and crisis events clearly show how important efficient and well-networked civil emergency response is. Precisely because of these growing challenges, an interdisciplinary platform like 112RESCUE is indispensable for pooling knowledge, strengthening cooperation and ensuring operational capability in the long term,” emphasizes Sabine Loos, Managing Director of the Westfalenhallen Group.
In addition to the high technical relevance for the emergency services, the conceptual partner also emphasizes the special significance of 112RESCUE. “We can clearly see the central role the trade fair plays for the entire industry. It brings emergency response organizations, industry, science and volunteers together in one place, promotes the exchange of information on current developments and innovations and makes forward-looking solutions directly tangible. 112RESCUE has quickly established itself as an indispensable platform,” emphasizes Christoph Schöneborn, Managing Director of the Association of Fire Departments in NRW.
The focus will once again be on relevant topics, operations during extreme weather events, rescue robotics, digitalization in control centres, the construction and planning of fire stations, tactical situations in the rescue service and the future of emergency care.
