112RESCUE 2025: The future of public safety and emergency response – on show in Dortmund
Comprehensive 'blues-and-twos' show presenting innovations, fresh approaches and new technologies
112RESCUE from 26 to 28 June 2025 sees stakeholders in the fire safety, rescue, disaster control and civil defence segments meeting up for the third time with a 360° line-up of exhibitors plus high-quality conventions, informative symposia and workshops as well as a highly informative supporting programme. Following recent events, there will be features such as a presentation on the school rampage in Graz, Austria, on 10 June 2025 from the perspective of the Austrian Red Cross in the province of Styria.
Dortmund, 26 June 2025 – “112RESCUE is an indispensable platform for all those involved in public safety and civil defence. With its wide-ranging programme of innovative technologies, real-life solutions and interdisciplinary formats, it provides pioneering inspiration for mastering current and future challenges effectively and sustainably in a changing world,” said Sabine Loos, chief show organiser and Managing Director of Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe which owns and operates the Messe Dortmund venue.
The show's increasing relevance is also reflected in the growth in the number of exhibitors, with what is now the third show set to feature 315 exhibitors from eleven countries – an increase of nearly 10% on the previous year. The international participation underscores the role of 112RESCUE as an up-and-coming forum for interpersonal engagement, innovation and networking in civil emergency response across national boundaries.
The importance of the cross-industry 'blues-and-twos' show is also being highlighted by two government ministries. “If you want to have a say, you have to be up to date. And what better way to achieve this than at the 112RESCUE show? In Dortmund, all the leading-edge disciplines are convening in one location. Such an opportunity to inform and communicate, such a place to come together helps us improve every day. But it's not just worth watching, it's also worth taking part!” said Herbert Reul, patron of the show and Minister of the Interior in North Rhine Westphalia.
Karl-Josef Laumann, also patron and Minister of Labour, Health & Social Affairs in the state of North Rhine Westphalia, also emphasised the wide range of products and services on offer at the show, saying: “112RESCUE offers the opportunity to find out about pioneering technologies and developments in the rescue services and the benefits they offer. In a time of growing challenges, networking and digitalisation are key to efficient collaboration and to resilient operational structures. At the same time, 112RESCUE provides a space for dialogue on current trends and forward-looking developments that have the potential to shape and change the work of the emergency services and civil defence health protection.”
