For the first time, Messe Dortmund is offering manufacturers, decision-makers and users a new industry forum and buyer-meets-seller platform covering leading-edge technologies, applications and products in the struggle against all hazardous situations. 112RESCUE is also expected to host numerous popular brand ambassadors from the fire and rescue sectors between 14 and 17 June 2023.
Dortmund, 5 June 2023 – The new 112RESCUE show between 14 and 17 June will focus comprehensively on the fire fighting, rescue service, civil defence and disaster control sectors. As well as being highly informative and offering a host of networking opportunities plus a varied supporting programme, experts and interested visitors will also have access to a Meet & Greet Area in Hall 6 where they can meet well-known influencers face-to-face:
Probably the best-known brand ambassadors in the rescue sector include Luis Teichmann and Christian Mahnsen. On his channel 5_Sprechwunsch ('Need to talk'), Teichmann delivers tongue-in-cheek clips and reels offering insights into odd situations that the paramedic and qualified rescue engineer experiences during his 'shouts'. He recently published the Spiegel bestseller 'Rettungsdienst am Limit' (rescue services at the limit). He already has over 1.2 million followers of his sketches on TikTok and Instagram. Together with his rescue colleague Christian Mahnsen from the German St John's Ambulance Service in Rostock, he also hosts the successful Retterview ('rescuer's view’) podcast. Mahnsen, known to the community as Samy Splint, shows photos and videos from his everyday work on his own channels and also answers individual technical questions. Both will be at the venue on Friday and Saturday.
Women power on social media
Ann-Sophie Keszler, a medical student from Potsdam, is probably the most successful female brand ambassador for the rescue sector with nearly 50,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok. She works for the volunteer fire brigade and is part of the local German St John's Ambulance emergency response team. At annsophiekeszler, she reports on various missions and provides her community with practical tips worth knowing. Sina Setale, youth officer at the Kronach fire brigade, promotes women in the fire services with short music clips appealing especially to the younger generation. She already has over 30,000 followers. Celina Woll, an emergency paramedic with the German St John's Ambulance Service in Marburg, is also a strong advocate for emergency services and for her chosen career on her Instagram channel which boasts over 26,000 followers. She also addresses general issues such as the extremely increased stresses on rescue workers in day-to-day operations.
Social media itself will play an important part on Saturday at a special platform entitled 'Women in Rescue' where experiences will be discussed by the influencers and brand ambassadors, and also with Silke Müller, Lower Saxony's first Digital Ambassador.
112RESCUE to welcome even more brand ambassadors
From the fire and rescue sector, Niklas Röder will be at the show. He posts on Instagram and TikTok at niklas.on.fire. Niklas Röder was already an enthusiastic member of the volunteer fire brigade as a youngster and is now a professional firefighter and trained paramedic in Dresden. He delights his fans with adventurous videos (among other things) on his own YouTube channel and has 58,000 followers on Instagram as well as a major following on TikTok. Maik Stelli of der-stelli fame will also be joining the other brand ambassadors. As a firefighter and paramedic, his stories are already being followed by 23,600 followers on Instagram. He also has a channel on live streaming site Twitch. Bernd Ültzhöfer, senior fire chief at the Berlin fire services, will also be in Dortmund as a brand ambassador for the fire service sector. The trade show ambassador, influencer and firefighting instructor already has 20,700 followers on his personal Instagram blog firecross.
André Willer, widely known to his fans by his nickname FeuerwehrWilli, will also be attending the show's début. The avid fire fighter and instructor – with a wide range of experience, also with the THW heavy rescue plant operator – can already look back on 25 years of life at the sharp end of fire service activity. In his refreshingly humorous style, he provides help with all firefighting questions and can be found addressing a wide range of topics at his YouTube channel with nearly 47,000 followers, and also on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch and TikTok.
112RESCUE competition with 'FeuerwehrWilli'
With a bit of luck, you might even win a visit from 'FeuerwehrWilli' to your own firefighting unit. In addition, 30 genuine FeuerwehrWilli mugs are also waiting for new owners. (Entries will still be accepted until 9 June 2023, and the prizes will be presented subsequently at the show).
Marvin Giesswein is also a household name in the firefighting scene, inspiring 26,200 followers on Instagram alone under the Pseudonym marv.fire with his stories, personal impressions and short interludes. In his videos at FireFlo89, Florian Just presents tongue-in-cheek views of the world of firefighting.
